The traditional governance structure of Assin Owirenkyi traditional area is made of the Owirenkyi Traditional Council and the Owirenkyiman Cabinet.

A. OWIRENKYI TRADITIONAL COUNCIL

The Owirenkyi Traditional Council consists of all Chiefs, Queenmothers, Family Heads, Traditional Functionaries such as the Akyeame, Elders, an Elected Assemblyman, and some citizens of Owirenkyi. The traditional council now comprises;

B. OWIRENKYIMAN CABINET AND MEMBERS’ DUTIES

The Owirenkyiman Cabinet is made of a selected few of the Chiefs, Queenmothers and other appointed persons by Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI who are assigned specific contemporary duties in addition to their traditional mandates for the development of the traditional area.
Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI has the sole authority to select the membership of the cabinet taking into consideration their training, skills and experiences. It is at Cabinet meetings that Nananom who are assigned contemporary duties present and defend their bi-annual budgets for their sector. Decisions taken by Owirenkyi Cabinet is presented to the Owirenkyi Traditional Council for further considerations.
Conventionally, the Omanhene reshuffles the positions of his cabinet periodically. This is to ensure efficiency in their delivery. Presently, below is a list of the Owirenkyiman cabinet.
