Owirenkyiman Traditional Area celebrates Kantamanto Festival

The Chiefs and people of Owirenkyiman Traditional Area in the Central Region have celebrated their Kantamanto Festival by calling all Ghanaians to prioritize good sanitation practices. This will not only help to reduce the disease burden on society but can contribute to environmental sustainability. This practice has earned Kushea the enviable accolade of the neatest community in Ghana.
The well patronized festival was also used to celebrate the 80th birthday, and 40 years of the enstoolment of the Paramount Chief of the Owirenkyiman Traditional Area, Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim. The festival of the chiefs and people of this traditional area is called Kantamanto and is characterized by a week-long of activities in the last week of the month of October.
