Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI known in personal life as W. E. Jonah was born in Obuasi in the year 1942. He attended Obuasi Anglican School and then proceeded to Ghana National College.
A crisis in his school compelled his parents to send him to the Egbaston E. C School for Boys, England, to continue his education.

He shares some of his experience at school; “…. In this boarding school, everything was different.

At that time discrimination among people of different races was quite predominant so…. It was a very uncomfortable situation I found myself in.” After he completed O and A levels, His Majesty studied Law at the Metropolitan University London.

Nana obtained his LLB/BA (Hons) Business Law Degree from the Metropolitan University in the year 1976. He served as Company Secretary to Arnold and Sons (Exporters) in London from 1976 to 1977.

Unlike other professionals, he did not stay in the UK to escape the economic hardships in Ghana at the time. In an interview he said, “I worked with various companies in England but it was nothing
of a permanent nature because I knew I was going back home.”

In 1977 the Government of Ghana employed Ehunabobrim from England to come to Ghana to work as a Legal Officer at the Ministry of Trade.
